Landscape Designer and Sales Position

Del Conte’s Landscaping, Inc. is a full-service landscaping firm offering Landscape Maintenance, Design/Build, Irrigation and Water Management. Our mission at Del Conte’s Landscaping is to fulfill the landscape needs of our clients, and, in doing so, exceed client expectations for service, quality and value.

Currently we have an opportunity in our Fremont, CA office for a Landscape Designer and Sales position to to provide beautiful landscape designs that meet client specifications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Creating, presenting, and selling beautiful landscape designs to residential and commercial clients

  • Managing (and developing) the marketing of landscape design services to increase client base

  • Meeting with clients: initial, follow-up, and closing

  • Assisting clients with budgets

  • Managing design and sales budget and meeting budget goals

  • The preparation and presentation of proposals, scopes of work, and conceptual landscape plans and layouts

  • Providing production staff with the vision of the project prior to its installation

  • Overseeing the installation process to ensure it meets the client vision and design specifications

  • Working closely with Department Manager and General Foreman of Construction Department to meet department goals

  • On going business development practices that include the ability to build and maintain relationships with both clients and construction crew.

  • This position will work closely with staff & client in order to meet and exceed client expectations for beautiful landscapes.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S in Horticulture with emphasis in landscape design (or related field)

  • 2+ years in similar Landscape Design and Sales position and with similar responsibilities

  • Landscape Construction experience

  • Full understanding of construction details

  • Good computer literacy including knowledge in design software (imaging, CAD)

  • Estimating and take-off skills

  • Good Analytical, organization, and problem solving skills

  • Excellent inter-personal skills in order to interface with employees and clients in all levels

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
