INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

POSITION: Horticulture Intern

OVERVIEW: The Olde Farm Golf Course is an exclusive private golf club located in Bristol, Virginia. In addition to golf, The Olde Farm features a preeminent dining and wine venue. To highlight this feature of the club, The Olde Farm features over an acre of heirloom organic vegetable crop production, numerous orchards (apple, pear, peach and plum), an herb garden, a cut ower garden, and bee hives actively producing honey.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Interns will be working side by side with the Head Horticulturist, assisting in a vast array of horticulture operations including, but not limited
to: greenhouse transplant production, organic vegetable crop production (including planting, maintenance and harvest), bee keeping, fruit tree maintenance, and annual ower bed maintenance.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Student pursuing a 2-4 year degree in horticulture or related agricultural eld, especially students emphasizing in fruit and vegetable crop production.

BENEFITS: Uniforms and housing provided. WAGES: $10/hr (some over-time hours as well)
