&

MSU Garden Plant Showcase
August 6, 2008

Welcome retail garden centers and greenhouses, landscapers and nurserymen. This is the fourth year for a coordinated open house program among these plant producers, in cooperation with Michigan State University.

You are invited to visit each of these 8 sites during the 2 week period, August 4-15, 2008. (See individual grower summaries for hours). Take a day trip to catch a couple of sites, or complete the entire loop for the full tour. The Michigan Garden Plant Tour is completely free, but growers would appreciate a call ahead to know you’ll be coming.

Expect to see impressive displays of garden flowering plant material, including all the commercial brands. This is a terrific way to observe plant performance at different sites.  Bring your customers, too.

Don't forget to attend the MSU Garden Plant Showcase on August 6, 2008 on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University. You'll hear the latest on new annuals and perennials, see unbiased garden performance of annuals, and learn how to solve some of the challenges in production and marketing. This event requires advance registration.
