HRT 891B. SELECTED TOPICS PLANT BREEDING & GENETICS: PLANT BREEDING
PROGRAMS.
1 credit summer semester
The course, Selected topics plant breeding & genetics: plant breeding programs, will be taught during the second half of summer term-1999. The course will meet once a week (Tuesday 12:00 noon) for a 2-hour period (4 hours for an out-of-town visit) to view different plant breeding programs in situ. Students will be asked to prepare weekly a one page report of the program visited the previous week and a written term paper will be required at the end of the course. Details will be discussed at a brief organizational meeting on Tuesday July 6 at 12 noon in A388 PSSB after which we will travel to the Mason farm to view the wheat breeding program.
