Tom joined the Horticulture Department in 1999. As faculty coordinator, Tom serves as a liason between Horticulture department faculty and HTRC. If there is a concern HTRC is unable to handle, Tom works with both parties to assist in finding an amicable solution. In addition to resolving disputes, Tom helps set and enforce HTRC policies as well as assisting in setting our budget and getting funding for large expenses.

Bill has worked for the MSU Horticulture Department since 1976. After receiving his M.S. in 1990, he assumed the position of manager of the Horticulture Teaching and Research Center. His expertise is weed science, where he currently conducts weed control studies on fruit, vegetable and ornamental crops. His main duty is to oversee and coordinate the operation of the station.

Gary Winchell, Agriculture Research Aide

Gary began working with MSU at the Clarksville Station (CHES) in 1979. In 1983, the HTRC was lucky enough to acquire his expertise in pesticide management and cultural practices in vegetable crops and ornamentals. Gary uses his extensive knowledge in agriculture to allocate land at the HTRC for annual vegetable research plots. Gary also maintains and repairs much of the equipment and vehicles for the station. He is closely involved with the upkeep of the facility and construction of necessary structures for research needs.
