| Description: Commercial aspects of tree and small fruit production. Procedures used in production of major fruit crops grown in Michigan: apples, cherries, blueberries, grapes, peaches, strawberries, brambles and some minor crops.

M, W 9:10 - 10:00 am, B109 Plant & Soil Sciences Building
PSSB (off headhouse) Course Requirements and Responsibilities Exams: 3 Exams and a comprehensive final. Exams will include information from lectures & labs. Term Paper: Min.10 page paper focusing on a specific fruit production topic. A list of potential topics will be provided. Students will need to interview appropriate faculty experts and write an up-to date literature review on the topic. Due April 9. Laboratory: Laboratories will be held in B109 PSSB or at the Horticulture Teaching and Research Center (HRTC) on College Road, south of campus. Students are expected to find their own transport to the HTRC on designated lab dates. Students should be prepared to work outside in inclement weather and dress accordingly (coats, boots, hats, gloves). Reports will be expected for some but not all labs. Grading:
