Understand tree and shrub growth, effect of environmental and cultural conditions on plant health. Understand and be familiar with maintenance practices including pruning, fertilization, pest management, and planting practices for ornamental plants. Be able to employ IPM and plant health care programs.

Grading: Four exams will be given, 4 homework question sets, one term project
Exams: 100 points x 4 = 400 points
Homework:

Grading: Five quizzes will be given during the term (2 plant ID quizzes and 3 pop quizzes). The homework assignments are due at the beginning of the next lab. Reminder: HRT 213 and 213L are separate courses, with separate grades assigned!
