


Carolina Contreras , Ph.D. Graduate Research Assistant
Carolina received a BS in Horticulture with specialization in fruit production at University of Chile and a M.S. degree in Plant Sciences at Catholic University of Chile. Her area of research is Fruit Postharvest Physiology. Her doctorate research project is aroma biology and the contribution of the lipoxygenase pathway (LOX) in apple aroma production. Also she is currently working on postharvest projects with 'Honeycrisp' and 'MN-1914' apple cvs. Her faculty advisor is Dr. Randy Beaudry.
