Glass Art Sculptures in the Garden a Great Success!
Thousands of visitors came to the Gardens between June 18 and 20 to see the 31 sculptures by glass artist Craig Mitchell Smith. Follow this link to see several photos of his display. The unique nature of Craig's work is the way that he tailors his piece of art to fit within a specific plant or location within the garden. He started months before the show and the final culmination was an absolutely spectacular array of color, texture, and perhaps even a bit of whimsey.
We are so pleased to have hosted Craig's glass creations in our gardens. We hope that this is the beginning of many such programs featuring various forms of art in the MSU Horticulture Gardens.

Another fun part of the weekend was a reading of Midsummer Night's Dream by Peppermint Creek Theater. It made for a fun and eventful Saturday evening in the gardens. Surrounded by glass art and beautiful perennials, the show was a delight for the audience. Follow this link for photos of the performance.
